Mountain bike tour in Georgia (Tbilisi - Batumi - Svaneti)
10 days mix tour in Georgia
Day 1 – Meeting in the morning in Tbilisi international airport. Transfer in nice hotel close to old town.
We are going to visit and walk in beautiful old town where we are going to visit Narikala fortress, water fall, Freedom square, National museum in Rustaveli Avenue.
After we have time to visit our bike store at Lisi lake, we take our size bikes, we are going to adjust seat posts, brakes, handle bar and going to ride around lake 5km.
After 7pm you have free time.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 2 - Meeting at your hotel at 9am going to drive by minibus from Tbilisi to Traileti ridge close to Manglisi, driving takes around 1 hour.
At altitude 2000 meters we are going to start cycling on Silk Road which was very famous and very popular till XVII century, we are going to Manglisi via Algeti National park.
From Manglisi our driver will take us Tsalka.
In Tsalka we are going to visit Dashbashi Canyon.
After great day we are going to overnight in local clean hotel. (Hotel Tsalka)
Riding distance is around 20km. Riding takes around 2 hours.
Day 3 – In the morning we are going to drive from Tsalka to Akhalkalaki. Driving takes around 1 hour. From village Kirovakai we are going to ride in historical cave town Vardzia which was built by Queen Tamar in XI century.
Going to visit cave town.
From Vardzia we are going to ride till village Khertvisi where from our driver will be take us to Akhaltsikhe, we are going to overnight in Akhaltsikhe.
Total riding distance is 40km.
overnight in Akhaltsikhe in nice local hotel. (Hotel Rabat or similar)
Day 4 - In the morning we are going to visit Rabati castle.
We are going to drive from Akhaltsikhe to Abastumani resort, from Abastumani our driver take us to Zekari pass which is magic beautiful. Driving takes 1.5 hour.
From the Abastumani we are going to drive to Resort Sairme via Zekari pass 40km.
In Saime is medical mineral waters and we can taste it. We are going to walk little park.
From Sairme our driver take us to Kutaisi which was capital city of Georgia. We are going in evening to walk around. Driving takes 1 hour.
Overnight in Kutaisi in local hotel.
Day 5 – In the early morning we are going to drive from Kutaisi to Svaneti. After 2.5 hours driving on the way to Svaneti we are going to visit Enguri dam.
From Enguri dam we are going to ride the village Khaishi 40km. From Khaishi our driver take us to Mestia. Driving till Mestia takes 2 hours more.
Overnight in Mestia local guest house (Nino Ratiani) or similar.
Day 6 – In the morning we are going to hike from Mestia to Koruldi Lakes, this lakes are located under the mountain Ushba, the views are unforgettable beautiful.
Hiking distance is 8km up and 8km back, total climbing altitude gain is around 1350meters.
Overnight same guest house in Mestia.
Day 7 – In the morning we are going to drive from Mestia to Mazeri where from we are going to walk in Shdugra water fall which is super beautiful to see. Wlaking distance is around 4km up and down. After we are going to drive in Chalaidi valley where we are going to walk to Chalaidi glacier. Walking distance is 1.5km up and down.
After walking we are going to visit Mothers monastery where we can visit traditional Svan tower and walk inside which has 6-7 floors.
Also we have chance to visit national museum of Mestia.
Overnight same guest house.
Day 8 – In the morning we are going to drive from Mestia to Tetnuldi Mountains. From the mountain we are going to ride bikes to highest settlement in Europe village Ushguli. Overnight in Ushguli in local nice guest house.
Riding distance is 35km.
Day 9 – In the morning we are going to ride from Ushguli to Zagaro pass. From the top of the pass we have chance to ride down till village Mele 40km and from Mele our driver take us to small beautiful town Lentekhi. Overnight in Lentekhi in nice local hotel (hotel Svaneti).
Day 10 – In the morning we are going to drive back to Tbilisi. On the way to Tbilisi we have time to stop in small town Tskaltubo and visit Promete cave which is very interesting.
Overnight in Tbilisi in hotel.
In the early morning departure in Tbilisi international airport.
Every evening we can taste Georgian traditional food in deferent regions has different traditional food.
